The FrSky VANTAC RF007 is a state-of-the-art flybarless (FBL) helicopter flight controller that utilizes the latest 2.x flight control technology from Rotorflight. With its built-in FrSky receiver supporting ACCESS or TW protocol, the RF007 offers a comprehensive range of features along with intuitive configuration, seamless adjustment, and real-time tuning via the ETHOS interface.
At the heart of the RF007 is an STM32F722 MCU processor, supported by a 3-axis gyro, 3-axis accelerometer, and a barometric sensor. Together, these components provide the precision and stability needed for pilots to rely on their models. Additionally, the flight controller supports flight data logging with a large 128MB Blackbox, giving users a wealth of data to optimize their model and troubleshoot issues.
The RF007 includes a built-in FrSky receiver that can connect directly to FrSky transmitters, eliminating the need for an external receiver. The RF007 Archer+ version features an integrated 2.4GHz Archer Plus RS receiver operating in ACCESS or ACCST V2 mode, while the RF007 TWIN features an integrated dual 2.4GHz TW R6 receiver operating in TW mode. The internal receiver has a UART interface running FBUS protocol. For users with other requirements, a compatible receiver can also be connected via the main header or one of the expansion ports. Rotorflight supports a wide range of receiver signal protocols. A full list of supported protocols is available in the Rotorflight Configurator Tool or at https://rotorflight.org.
Thanks to telemetry connectivity, Rotorflight offers highly intuitive and integrated Lua-based configuration tools running on ETHOS transmitters. Users can utilize these tools to adjust PID settings, servo trims, rates, mixing/geometry, filter settings, and most other Rotorflight parameters quickly and easily right from the transmitter screen. For supported ESCs, ESC configuration can also be performed through the tool.
Note: When supplying power via the RxUG port, do not supply additional power from other ports to ensure safe operation of connected devices.
